Creating artwork on a computer can be fiddly, especially when starting from scratch. A different, but equally rewarding approach, is to modify copies of existing digital photos.
ArtMaster is just the tool to let you achieve this, but if you're not familiar with art terminology it could prove quite tricky. The main window isn't organised like most photo-editing packages and there are no recognisable palette or tools. Instead you load your picture into ArtMaster and choose from a pre-defined list of 'Artwizards' to add effects.
There are text-based tool tips to help you along but it does take time and it's not all that clear what each tool or icon does.
