Myfolia
Myfolia is a social networking site for gardeners with tools for organising gardens and planting. The tracking tool keeps a record of planting dates and choices, which can be useful for learning from past mistakes, or you can keep an ordinary journal with photos. Registration is free and there are widgets you can add to your website. Different groups cover all aspects of gardening - from kitchen gardens to composting and organic gardening.

Video roundup

Medieval Helpdesk
If you've found the move to Windows Vista difficult, spare a thought for those poor medieval scribes who had to change from their familiar scrolls to the new fangled book. This funny video speculates on a conversation between a scribe looking for aid and his helpdesk contact.

Where the wild things are
This video is a superb animation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are. The video is beautifully animated and it is set to some fascinating music, and its excellent narration is sure to draw in viewers both young and old.

Mini notebooks tested
We take a look at two of the latest small format notebook computers, the Asus Eee PC 900 and HP Mininote, to find out which one comes on top. Both represent the state of the art in notebook design, squeezing maximum power into minimum space, but keeping things cheap as well.

Illuminate your keyboard
It might be more fun to play games in the dark, but it is obviously quite difficult to see what keys to press. There are illuminated keyboards available, but this DIY project is much cheaper and more fun. It replaces the light for the Scroll lock indicator with two new lights pointing at the keyboard.
