'Major upgrade' supports Flash 9 and intreractive 3D
Adobe has launched Director 11, which it describes as a major upgrade to its flagship multimedia authoring tool allowing content to be created and published simultaneously to the web and a CD or DVD.
New features include support for Adobe Flash 9 and an enhanced script browser to save programming time. Director 11 should be available before April for £705 ex Vat, or £209 ex Vat for educational buyers or as an upgrade to any of the previous three versions. Educators can purchase Director 11 for £209 ex Vat.
Naresh Gupta, Adobe's senior vice president for print and publishing, said:
“This milestone release provides a strong and flexible authoring environment
that perfectly complements Adobe’s broad suite of authoring products, extending
our customers’ creative reach to interactive 3D animations and games.”
