Save desk space with choice of two models, says company
Samsung has unveiled two colour printers that are being promoted as the smallest desktop colour laser printers in the world.
The CLP-300 and the network-ready CLP-300N boast a footprint of 15.4in x 13.5in x 10.4in and weigh in at just 30lbs.
Targeted at both small business users and consumers, the compact printers have print speeds of up to 17ppm in black and white and 4ppm in colour, and feature the same print engine as Samsung's high-end colour offerings.
The native 600 x 600dpi resolution can be optically enhanced to 2400 x 600 dpi and Samsung claims that the printers can handle 24,200 pages per month.
"The CLP-300 series not only provides customers with high-quality output, quickly and affordably, but can deliver these results without sacrificing desktop space,” said Tony Venice, senior solutions product manager, Samsung Electronics, information technology division.
“Additionally, there has become a frustration factor for the typical inkjet customer, who is now finding that replacing multiple ink cartridges can be cumbersome and expensive.”
The CLP-300N comes with a built-in network card and costs around £200, while the standalone CLP-300 will set you back around £170. Both models are due out in the coming weeks.
