Corsair releases fastest DDR2 memory yet

Optimised for Nvidia Nforce 590 chipset and AM2 sockets

Corsair has launched two types of fast memory – both 2GB – aimed at people running AMD's new AM2 socket and Nvidia's Nforce5 chipset.

The first is Corsair's Twin 2X2048-8500C5 memory that runs at 1066MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings. The second is a Twin 2X2048-6400C4 that supports 4-4-4-12 timings. Both support Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP).

This is the 'SLI' memory designed by Nvidia and Corsair, which should make your memory run faster when using twin Nvidia graphics cards.

This memory is optimised for the new Nforce 590 chipset and AMD AM2 CPUs.

Corsair has also just announced a new Twin 2X2048-6400C3 2GB kit, and this is the first DDR 2 800 memory that can work at amazing 3-4-3-9 timings. The first CL3 DDR 2 memory shipping in volumes, it supports EPP and is SLI-ready.

You'll need to dig deep into your pockets to buy it; already available at Overclockers.co.uk, it costs £352.44. But for that price, owners will get the lowest latency, fastest memory available to date, and it comes with a lifetime warranty.
