The triple tuner TV card arrives

Those with three eyes only need apply

A triple tuner TV card that lets you watch analogue, Freeview or satellite TV channels on your PC has been released by Hauppauge.

It is billed as the World's first triple tuner PCI card. It includes a remote control and software to schedule and record programs and is available immediately at £100 inc. VAT.

The WinTV HVR-3000 only allows you to receive free-to-air TV or FM radio. Paid for services like top-up TV and Sky satellite broadcasting are not supported.

Additionally external video sources can connect to the HVR-3000 via S-Video, composite and stereo audio inputs. External video can be recorded to a PC's hard disk in mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 formats.

A 1.5GHz processor for digital viewing and recording or a 3.0GHz processor for analogue recording is required.
