Vipre PC Rescue designed for badly infected machines
Security specialist Sunbelt Software has launched a free scanning utility for cleaning out PCs badly affected by malware.
Vipre PC Rescue, which is free to download, uses a command line interface but is said to be easy to use.
The idea is that you download it at the point it is needed to ensure that you get the latest version – there is no automatic update.
Detections are consistent with the Sunbelt’s flagship Vipre anti-virus and anti-spyware product.
