It’s cheap but lacks connectivity for true high-definition support
Display maker Videoseven has launched an aggressively priced 20in LCD display designed to appeal to people that want the big picture without breaking the bank.
Priced at £270, the V7 S20PD boasts an impressive eight millisecond response time, which is important if you want to avoid image blurring or ‘ghosting’ when watching video content. V7 Videoseven is a division of global technology distributor, Ingram Micro.
The 4:3 S20PD has a top resolution of 1,400 x 1,050 and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The resolution makes it suitable for viewing PC-based high definition (HD) content but there is no HDMI input to allow you to hook it up to forthcoming HD set-top boxes or high-definition players.
The display sports two integrated loudspeakers, to produce 5watts of audio power and there’s a Kensington lock also thrown in with each. Each model comes with a three-year on-site replacement service.
