Three new models, only one with HDMI
Canon has unveiled three new projectors aimed at the business and education sectors.
The LV-7265 and LV-7260 multimedia projectors both come with native XGA resolutions of 1024 x 768 pixels and are targeted at the business environment.
The LV-7265 has a brightness of 2,500 lumens, an HDMI input for playing copyright protected high-definition video and an in-built 5W speaker.
The LV-7260 has an output of 2,000 lumens, no speaker and no HDMI input. Both come with a 1.6x zoom lens, a contrast ratio of 600:1, fast start-up and shut-down times and an operation noise level of 30 decibels (dB).
The entry-level LV-X7 is being focused on the education sector, with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, a 1,500 Lumens brightness rating, 500:1 contrast ratio, a quieter fan noise level of 25dB and a 1.6x zoom lens. It can project a 100in image from a throw distance of 2.9 metres.
All three models boast a feature called Screen Colour Correction, which has eight colour pre-sets to compensate for having to project onto different coloured walls when there is no screen available.
No launch dates or prices have been announced yet.
