PNY launch new gaming graphics cards

Three new cards released using Nvidia's Geforce 7000 processors

Card maker PNY Technologies has launched three performance graphics cards based on the Nvidia GeForce 7000 series of processors.

The Verto Geforce 7600 GT, 7900 GT and 7900 GTX graphics cards are mid-to high end cards aimed at gamers and extreme performance enthusiasts willing to spend that bit extra.

All cards support Nvidia’s SLI (Scalable Link Interface) technology that allows users to run two cards simultaneously in a PC.

The midrange Geforce 7600 GT has a 128bit memory interface and 256MB of GDDR3 memory, supporting resolutions up to 2,560 x 1,600.

The Verto Geforce 7900 GT has a faster 256-bit memory interface and 256MB of GDDR3 memory, while PNY's top-end 7900 GTX model has a faster core clock speed and 512MB of memory. Additionally, all have support for high-definition TVs.

'With Shader Model 3.0, High Dynamic-Range and Scalable Link Interface from nVidia , the PNY 7600 GT, 7900GT and 7900GTX are the most powerful cards we've tested to date at this level of price,' claimed Jonathan Filleau, PNY Technologies product manager for consumer graphics cards.

The 7900 GT and 7900 GTX cards cost around £229 and £369, respectively. The Geforce 7600 GT is expected to cost £140-£150.
