Stop Narrator

How to get rid of the Narrator pop-up in Windows Vista

Q I have an annoying problem with my PC running Vista Home Premium. Every time I boot up or restart my PC a box pops up and Narrator starts. It talks to me and I don’t want it to. I want shot of it. Please can you help me?

A Go to Control Panel, Ease of Access then click on the link for ‘Make the computer easier to see’.

At the top of the new window, you’ll see that the settings below will automatically start each time you log on. Clear the check boxes next to ‘Turn on Narrator’ and ‘Turn on Audio Description’.

Click on the Save button, close the Ease of Access centre, and the Narrator will stop
