A comfortable wireless laser mouse for notebooks
Although touchpads on notebooks are useful to have, using one for any length of time can be a frustrating experience.
Logitech has a solid history in developing mice – its recent MX Revolution was the most innovative mouse we’ve seen in a long time. The V450 is the company's latest cordless notebook mouse.
As with most Logitech mice, the V450 uses a laser instead of an optical beam. Although few will appreciate the increased accuracy, it does mean that, unlike with optical mice, you can use it on uneven surfaces such as carpet – something that will come in handy if you’re using your notebook away from a desk.
It won’t, however, work on shiny surfaces such as glass or mirrors.
Four pads help the V450 glide smoothly with very little effort while the slick, comfortably arched design is suitable for both left- and right-handed users. The tilting scroll wheel will definitely come in handy when viewing web pages on a small notebook screen.
The small USB 2.4GHz wireless receiver slots neatly into the underside of the mouse and no software installation is required. The mouse also comes with a small carry pouch to stop it from being scratched.
Two AA batteries power the mouse and Logitech states it will keep going for up to one year. This will, of course, vary wildly depending on how you use it. It will automatically turn off when you replace the wireless receiver into the mouse and a power button is also available, should you want to turn it off while still connected.

about Logitech V450 mouse
It is no doubt a great mouse, very smooth. But, it does have a problem with laptop - its software stops the laptop Fn-brightness display from working. The up/down brightness just don't work, with mouse remove it's ok. My laptop HP nx7400 (winxp-pro).
