Review: Antec Truepower Quattro 1000 PSU

A modular design keeps the internals tidy

The Truepower Quattro 1000 has been designed to meet the 80 Plus certification (www.80plus.org), with Antec saying it uses 33 per cent less energy than equivalent supplies.

It comes with four 12v rails, gold-plated connections and protection from short circuits, over voltages, under voltages and over current.

It’s a modular design, which keeps the case internals tidy, but if you’re buying a 1,000W PSU, you’re likely to be using all the cables anyway.

Two six-pin and two eight-pin PCI Express power connectors are provided - the eight-pin ones can be converted into six-pin versions for SLI setups.
