Review: Enermax Infiniti 720W PSU

PSUs support quad-core and dual-core CPUs

Many of the hardware problems people experience can be traced back to the power supply, especially in these days of multiple graphics cards and desktop Raid arrays.

Enermax’s latest product line is the Infiniti series. There are two models – 720W and 650W – both of which support quad-core CPUs, dual CPU systems, three graphics cards (but not Nvidia’s 8800 or ATI’s R600 series in SLI or Crossfire mode) and up to 18 drives.

A neat modular design is used with just the main power loom built into the supply. Cooling is provided by a single 13.5cm fan, which is near silent.
