A mouse for your PDA and laptop
Think Outside claims this is the first PDA mouse, but it is difficult to see why anyone would want a travel mouse to accompany their PDA. Using Bluetooth, it doubles up as a portable laptop mouse.
In terms of design, it’s a neat product and works well. Initial set up was pretty quick – it took longer to break open the packaging than to get it up and running. If you are using your PDA sitting at your desk, the mouse does indeed make it easier to use.
But while you might use it on your travels with a laptop, we find it hard to believe many people would want to carry it around with their PDA. You can also buy a Bluetooth keyboard to go with the mouse.
It’s expensive, but there’s little to fault, other than its limited usefulness, and one minor annoyance, which is that once your PDA is switched off, you have to turn your mouse off and on again before it will work.
Our verdict
Pros: Small, Bluetooth, easy to set up Cons: Expensive, a bit pointless unless used with a laptop Overall: Well designed, easy to set up and use, and a good to use with a laptop, but we question why you would need it for your PDA unless you use it in the office at your desk
