Asus does quick and quiet
Based on AMD’s midrange R630 GPU (2600XT), the EAH2600XT from Asus keeps to reference design when it comes to clock speeds, but what isn’t reference is the cooler.
Built on a red PCB, it has 256MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 700MHz (1,400MHz effective), while the core clock ticks along at 800MHz.
The cooler has a circular copper-finned design, with a surprisingly quiet fan - Asus claims it is some 10 per cent cooler than the reference design. The memory chips are left bare, but there is plenty of air being circulated by the fan to keep them cool.
Overall: A reasonably fast yet quiet graphics card
Voice over IP. The routing of voice conversations over the internet, which is cheaper than the telephone...

Runs cool but what does it do?
How about performance? Isn't that why we buy graphics cards? This isn't a review, it's a press release.
