Simple clear advice in plain English

Magix Audio Cleaning Lab

Clean up your classic vinyl.

Digital music is meant to be crystal clear and a delight to listen to. So when you transfer your old vinyl records onto your PC and they're still just as crackly as before, all those digital advances over the years mean nothing at all.

Thankfully, help is at hand. Audio Cleaning Lab 2004 attempts to give you the power to tidy up any audio tracks you import on to your PC, be they vinyl, cassette, CD or even a less than adequate MP3. Not only will Audio Cleaning Lab remove unwanted noises from your recordings, it will also allow you to digitally remaster them with a selection of enhancement tools.

There's no need for any specific knowledge of digital music in order to work your way through Audio Cleaning Lab. The simple step-by-step interface allows even novices to get to grips with the software in a matter of minutes, and both the Cleaning and Mastering wizards take most of the hassle out of the clean-up process.

If you're no stranger to digital music, you can bypass these wizards and take advantage of the various manual controls.

Once the remastering is complete, Audio Cleaning Lab helps you through the process of exporting the finished product to an audio CD or saving it in a wav, MP3 or wma file. The final step is to create impressive looking labels for all your new CDs using the Cover and Label Centre.

Results, on the whole, were pretty impressive. However, don't go thinking that you can dig out all your heavily scratched records and convert them to CD quality MP3 files.
