Roxio’s DVD copying software gets and iPod and PSP update
Just a couple of months after releasing Easy DVD Copy 2, Roxio is now shipping a new Premier version.
The only new feature of note is the ability to compress and output video suitable for Ipods and PSPs. Very little else has changed. The interface remains the same and is extremely easy to use.
Roxio has left out advanced options such as adjusting frame rates, aspect ratios and audio bit rates.
If you're thinking of opting for Roxio Easy DVD 2 Copy Premier just for the new iPod and PSP conversion tools, you should be aware there are some decent freeware tools available.
Super from Erightsoft isn’t nearly as intuitive as Easy DVD Copy 2 Premier, but you do get a whole host of advanced options to tinker with.
Overall, this is a simple yet effective DVD copying tool, but if you’ve already gone out and bought the first edition of Easy DVD Copy 2, there’s little point in upgrading to this version unless you’re desperate for a simple Ipod/PSP video transfer tool.
