8Mbit broadband on test
The Bulldog Interactive service was relatively easy to install. Documentation was comprehensive, although it did direct users to the website for some information - not ideal if you don’t already have access through another provider.
However, all the hardware provided was easy to set up and configure. When I had a query about modem compatibility, this was answered quickly.
I've not experienced any downtime with the service and the speed remained constantly good throughout.
It does have the most expensive set up fee on test, at £60, and because it is a high speed service with no cap, it costs £29.50 a month. However, this is less than BT Yahoo charges for what on paper is a better service.
It also has 40:1 contention ratio, which is better than many of its rivals here, and a 400Kbits/s upload speed, fater than the more usual 256Kbits/s that most services offer.
I moved house during the course of the trial, and Bulldog handled the changeover very efficiently - by the time I had the computer unpacked and set up, both my broadband and telephone connections had been switched over to the new number.
This has proved to be a good service, and would ideally suit heavy Internet users that need fast downloads and better than average upload speeds.

Overall: A problem-free, fast Internet service with fast download and upload speeds, and no monthly usage cap.
