Silentek Aqcool AQX 3000

It's never been easier to tinker with your PC, but when the bug really bites and you find yourself in the murky world of overclocking, your once-quiet PC will start to shriek like a banshee because of all the cooling fans you've had to install. The number one enemy of overclocking is heat and it's difficult to get past the need for all those fans. If you are looking for a quieter option maybe Silentek have the answer, with its Aqcool AQX 3000 water cooler.

Unlike normal water coolers that are fitted to the inside of the case and, therefore, introduce the risk of flooding the internals should anything start leaking, the main part of the AQX 3000 sits outside the case. This lessens the impact of any leaks with the added advantage that it can fit most tower cases.

The AQX comes in five different options depending on what you want to cool; CPU, CPU and GPU, CPU, GPU and chipset, two CPUs or a non-stop version. The cooling blocks for the CPU, GPU or chipset are made from copper and are sealed to the heavy walled plastic tubes filled with a water/anti-freeze solution at the factory. The system is guaranteed to -5 degC (23 degF). The unit is cooled by a whisper-quiet fan at the base of the unit which has a quoted noise level of less than 20dB.

Depending on your processor, three versions of the AQX are available: Socket A, Pentium III/Celeron and Socket 478 Pentium 4. Each kit comes complete with special holders, flanges, mounting screws, thermal paste and a syringe for topping up the cooling fluid if needed.
