Overall: A fun idea, but erratic operation lets it down

Skateboarding icon Tony Hawk has lent his name to a 320x240 pixel webcam with microphone.

With two AAA batteries, a rubber strap to fix it to your head and two buttons to operate it, you can record wherever you go.

We filmed our ride into work, deftly avoiding central London’s hazardous traffic. It is fairly easy to use once you get used to it and manage to point it in the right direction.

Video quality was generally poor and it wasn’t always reliable, inexplicably stopping recording after 15 minutes, which was frustrating. The supplied 32MB SD card, which is replaceable, should be good for 40 mins, although battery life could be more of an issue.
