Cool Mouse is a handy little utility that enables your mouse to do a great deal more than it does at present.

Designed primarily for mice with three buttons, Cool Mouse enables the middle button to be used to execute a vast array of functions. However, should you be in possession of either a two button mouse, or a mouse with a wheel in the middle, there is no need to feel left out - by pressing 'scroll lock' on the keyboard your right button operates like a middle button.

Whether you're a casual or frequent PC user, surfing the internet or using various programs, you're sure to find a use for Cool Mouse. Completely customisable, it can be adapted to suit your individual needs, and you can even assign different functions to the middle button depending on which application you are using.

The functions you can apply to the middle button include the following:

Two other functions can be given to the middle button - one which is active when the mouse cursor is in the title bar area of the window, and another which is active when the mouse cursor is in the window itself.

For even more customisation, you can give each application window a different function. This ability creates a more user-friendly environment, allowing you to adapt each application to include the most common functions you will use.

Settings can be changed instantly through a small system tray icon, and there is a tiny properties window on display at all times in the corner of the screen, reminding you of which functions you have active.
