MobiPocket Publisher allows you to design and publish your own eBooks, for personal use.

These books can be read on Palm OS, Windows CE/PocketPC, Psion, Epoc R5 and R6, and the Franklin eBookman.

The published eBooks are Open eBook compliant, which means they can be read using any compliant eBook reader, including MobiPocket's own MobiPocket Reader.

The actual content of the finished eBook has to be created externally of the Publisher, in any of these formats: plain text files, Word/RTF files, and PowerPoint files.

Once the content has been written, simply import it into Publisher, where it will be compiled into a finished eBook.

You can add a cover page, including an image, and a table of contents, allowing the reader to navigate through the book simply and effectively.

With the built-in PDA emulator and Microsoft Reader for PC, you can see exactly how your finished book will look when published, without having to load it onto a PDA first.

If you wish to publish professionally, you will need to upgrade to the Professional edition (see website, below, for details).
