SlimBrowser utilises the software from Internet Explorer but adds lots of extra features that were either missing or hard to find.

Like many other alternative browsers it has tabbed windows reducing clutter on the task bar. SlimBrowser can close pop-up windows but keeps a record of them in case they were a useful part of the website.

There are plenty of short cuts to services like Google's translation web page.

As SlimBrowser is based on Internet Explorer it is only a small download, making it ideal for dial-up modem users. Newcomers to the internet will appreciate the extra links.
