Deepnet Explorer is another browser based on the Internet Explorer rendering engine, but unlike many others it offers some unique features.

Most interesting of these is its integrated RSS reader, which allows access to all the news stories from your favourite websites (look out for the RSS/XML logos on sites).

Also of note is the integrated P2P tool which connects to the Gnutella network and lets you download and share files with thousands of users. It's very easy to use, and anyone familiar with P2P will have no problems with it.

Other standard features include the essential tabbed browsing, popup blocker, auto form and password completion (optional), and integrated searches with XPSN, Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Page rendering speeds are good, and you have a great deal of control over which elements of a page to load - images, video, sounds, scripts, applets etc - which all helps to keep your PC secure.

It also claims to be much more secure than Internet Explorer which, given that it doesn't utilise any of IE's application shell, seems likely. (NB we haven't tested this).
