Star Wars Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II, Plus Mysteries of Sith Mission Pack (U).

Written by newmedia newmedia, What PC?

If you're a dab hand with the old lightsaber (courtesy of your local toy store, rather than your Jedi status), then why not try your hand at Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II. This classic Star Wars game puts you in the shoes of putative Jedi Kyle Katarn, as he unlocks the secrets of the past, alongside learning the mysterious ways of The Force.

The latest release of the game includes Kyle's battles against seven deadly Jedi, and also takes you on to another level, where you can change sex to become Mara Jade in the accompanying Mysteries of Sith Mission Pack. Mara undertakes two missions wielding her purple lightsaber against the forces of evil, including the Hutt crime boss.

This isn't one of the batch of new Star Wars games, released on the back of The Phantom Menace, but a golden oldie that harks back to the original trilogy. Great fun, but you do miss out on the latest action and effects that you'll find in the newer games.
